Simha Lustig is a certified elevator inspector, chairman of the Israeli Safety Code for Elevators, Escalators & Moving Walks, member of the International Association of Elevator Engineers (IAEE) since 1986 and member of ISO/TC 178 WG6 (the International Standard Organization) Committee for Lifts, Service Lifts, Escalators and Passenger Conveyors.

Ami Lustig is a certified elevator inspector, member of the Israeli Standards Institution's IS1525/2 Buildings Maintenance Committee and chairman of the Intelligent Building International Steering Committee (IB/IC). Over the years he has published a great number of papers on various aspects of vertical transportation technologies, and edited several books. He is member of the Board of Executives of the IAEE and since 2000 he has been chairman of Elevcon Congress.
